If a company i do business needs to contact me in any way, it should either be in writing or in person only, a pre-recorded phone message that could call me when i do not have time to listen or have the ability to respond could allow the company to invade my privacy, sign me up for or take away products or services without getting any approval from me. Recorded messages like this are more than an annoyance, they are a way for businesses to avoid talking to their customers, and instead just talk at them. I urge the ftc to reject this rule change as a bad idea. Make business that want to keep customers and do future business, work at it instead of being lazy.
