I pay for my phone, I want the phone in my home, and for my business, to contact friends, family, and my customers. I do not pay for my phone to hear telemarketers (tout their stuff) either by voice or recorded message. The reason I signed up for the do not call list, is that my time should be my own, and when I have to answer the phone for a telemarketer, or recorded message, they have just stolen my time. I have to answer, listen, or hang up .... all which take time from me. If new rules make telemarketing firms able to use recorded messages usable in place of actual people .... they are still infringing upon my little valuable time, away from work and adult responsibilites. The do not call list might as well be done with, gone .... if these type rules change. Then the only alternative will be to get rid of the phone, do my business via email, and you don't even want me to get started regarding junk email, (spam), which is the internet equivalent to telemarketing. Don't change the rules, or if you must, make it tougher to disturb working people, citizens of the United States, who want to enjoy their free time, not answering the phone, saying no to a new carpet cleaning company guaranteeing cleaner carpets, etc. Feel free to contact me {by snail mail) or email if you have any questions regarding this matter.
