For pity's sake, people, the reason we signed on for the Do Not Call List is because we want to eat dinner (also breakfast and lunch) in peace. We want NO commercial messages at any time, recorded or otherwise. Got that straight? Whose side is "the dear government", as my dad used to call it, on? Not consumers' side, that's obvious. I realize you're heavily indebted to commercial interests, but whatever happened to peace & quiet, not to mention privacy in our own home? Surely that ought to be the final retreat where one is safe from constant "Buy, buy, buy!" messages.
