I, as have many Amercans, have place my name on the no call list because I do not wish to be troubled by unsolicited phone calls from someone trying to sell me something. I do not wish to see any weakening of the no call rules. If I inquire about a companies products or services I do not feel that I have established a business relationship. If I want them to contact me I will request that a representative of their company contact me. I do not feel that I have given them free reign to call me with their unwanted messages whether live or recorded. In the past, I have been insulted by tele-marketing representatives when I have told them that I do not wish to be on their calling list. Some of the insults have been verbal while others have simply been to have a person hang up on me only to have another representative of the same organization to call me at another time. I do hope that the FTC will protect the privacy of the American consumer by doing the right thing and not weaken the no call rules in place today.
