To me, it is a no-brainer. If someone request through the National No Call List that they do not wish to receive any telemarketing phone calls then they should have the right to that privacy. I request that you keep the status quo just as it is and stop bowing to the demands of self interest companies that have the almighty dollar as their only goal and interest. After all, since I pay my telephone bill every month that includes an additional fee to provide certain services that apply some restrictions to incoming calls, I feel that I should have the right to prohibit any telemarketer from calling me if I wish not to have them do so. In addition to the current rules, I would also like to see a change that lets a company that you have done business with within the past eighteen months contact me only if I have given them prior permission to do so. If I need them I will call them. Let's put a don't call me, I will call you rule into place. Wake up FCC and get a grip on what the American people want and have obviously said by their response by signing onto the National No Call List. For once in your life, do the right thing for the American consumer. Oh, off the subject but while you are at it, why not give some thought to the companies that send out unsolicited fax messages. Maybe some day soon we all can look forward to regulations that prohibit that wastful practice also. Thank you, Mr. Schmidt Colorado, USA
