Please do not reduce restrictions on prerecorded calls for those on the Do Not Call list. Prerecorded calls are FAR more annoying than calls from a live person. I pay for my telephone for my convenience, not for the convenience of telemarketers. During a recent illness I was awakened from my sick-bed by telemarketers more than once despite my listing on the do not call list. There have been many other annoying interruptions. Unwanted phone calls are far worse than that modern scourge, e-mail spam, since a ringing phone demands immediate attention. One result of allowing this hyper-spam intrusion on people's lives is likely to be an acceleration of the adoption of alternatives to traditional land line telephone access. I personally would prefer to keep my phone service the way it is currently and I would prefer not to have to heavily screen my calls but frequent prerecorded phone messages would drive me to seek alternatives. I am sure that the traditional Bell telephone companies would also dread this result. Again, please do not vote to drop restrictions on prerecorded phone solicitations. Thank you, ---Glen Lindwall
