DO NOT WEAKEN THE "DO NOT CALL RULES"! The FTC rules are not strong enough now and/or they are not enforced. I still receive "human" and "computer" telemarketing calls. My FAX still receives spam faxes and when I call them to be taken off the list, it does not work and I continue to receive SPAM Faxes from the same company for over a year. From what I hear, I should soon to expect to receive telemarketing on my cell phone. Oh joy, could life get any better than that? Enforce the rules, your own rules................and increase the penalties for those who break them. If the fines are high enough, it will not be profitable for telemarketers to break the rules. The telemarketers have a partner in this crime, it's the company that hired them. So the FTC needs to fine the companies whose products the telemarketers are paid to promote. I won't hold my breath.
