Comments:
The rules for telemarketing calls are as near to perfect as anything that can be hoped for in today's environment. By, allowing companies to use automated dialers and pre-recorded messages, the lessened cost of telemarketing will allow more companies to use telemarketing, and the disturbance will eventually be greater than it was before the Do No Call List was conceptualized. The FTC should not adopt this amendment because the rights of the individuals to not be disturbed at home, either by pre-recorded or live solicitors, should outweigh the rights of for-profit companies.
