Hello, Please don't let the rule change go through. Once I do business with a company I don't want to receive any more phone calls from that company until I am ready to do more business with that company. I would receive an average of 4 or 5 telemarketer phone calls in the evening alone form companies that I did business with. It can be very disruptive around dinner time. And not all telemarketers provide you with their phone number on the caller ID, although I thought they were suppose to. And even if I didn't pick up the phone when I don't recognize the number that does not stop them from calling. They just call back later that night or call back the next day. If you permit automated calls you would not be able to tell that company to take you off their calling list as I thought you were permitted to before, although that did not always stop them from calling. Since the do not call list went into effect the telemarketer phone calls have been greatly reduced or stopped alltogether.
