I am an engineering student at MIT, and companies actually call my DORM ROOM trying to sell me stuff. How annoying and useless. So I registered for the do not call list. Allowing these companies to use automated calling will allow them to bother even more people who really don't want to hear from them. It's annoying and pointless, since they will just be hung up on anyway. Seriously, a college dorm?? What a dumb idea. Allowing automated calling is a pretty dumb idea too. At least with email, we have spam filters to protect us from all this unnecessary marketing.
