If anything, the national Do-Not-Call list laws need to be strengthened not weakened. Giving telemarketing companies the ability to further encroach upon ones privacy is not the way to go. The FTC and FCC should be advocates for the people and should protect their privacy rights. Making it easier and cheaper for companies to infringe on these rights is definietly counter to what these two groups should be doing. When there is a conflict between the rules of these two organizations, the most stringent of these rules should be adopted and applied.
