Please do not take any meausures that will weaken the current do not call list authority. The fact that millions of Americans have signed up to take advantage of the protection afforded by these rules should give you a hint as to how the general public feels about these intrusions. In my case, I am away a lot and do not want these prerecorded messages piling up on my answer machine and blocking the legitimate calls I receive. I also do not want to be awakened as these pre recorded messages are recorded on my answer machine in my bedroom ( I work late shift). In the case of my handicapped mom, I don't need her to have to struggle to the phone to answer or be bothered by these nuisance calls. If we need a service, we know how to obtain it.
