Comments:

I strongly protest any attempt to gut the Do Not Call registry, especially by permitting more prerecorded calls, which disserve both the ordinary citizens hassled by such calls and people seeking employment in legitimate telemarketing work. The Do Not Call list was set up because Americans DEMANDED it. We still demand it. And I am still getting calls from companies I never did business with, as other people are. You need not to weaken the list but put teeth in it and enforce the prohibitions, as for instance by adding a serious fine to any telemarketer that blocks its number OR name from Caller ID. Enforce the law; strengthen the working effect of the law. Do NOT undo it.
