As a consumer, I do not want any kind of phone solicitations. If I am interested in a product or a service that a company provides, I will be the one to contact them. If I pick up my home phone and there is a recording on the other end asking me to hold for an important message, they will receive my dial tone. There is nothing more frustrating than registering your number with the Do Not Call List, only to continue to receive exactly those kind of solicitations. Do not make it any easier on the businesses that place these kind of calls to find loop holes in the system. The consumers have made their opinions known on this issue, judging by the outpouring of registrations for the Do Not Call List. It is time for those requests to be respected by the solicitors and the FTC.
