A recorded message from a company wouldn't be any less annoying than an actual person talking to me. I only want contact with family and friends. I don't want my time wasted by answering a phone call that I don't want to get. I'm not interested in any of the products telemarketers are selling. Do I have to turn my phone off to keep from getting calls from companies? I have a phone for personal use...not for the telemarketers to harass me. I'm on the "do not call list" because I don't want to be called by companies of any kind. A convenience we have in our home is going to be used to harass us and we're paying for the convenience.
