Dear Sir or Madam, Please do not allow the increase of pre-recorded telemarketing phone calls!!! My work hours are from 10 P.M. until 6 A.M. I also have 2 children and one on the way. I do not get to fall asleep until after 8 A.M., after I get them off to school, and with a new baby sleep will be difficult. The last thing I want or need is more unwanted phone calls waking me up. Besides, if this is a sensitive baby, the phone ringing all the time would be keeping him up and he'd be a very tired and cranky baby. Doing without much sleep isn't healthy for an adult or an infant. This would be the same as me making unwanted phone calls to people in the middle of the night. I have signed up both my home and cell phone on the Do Not Call registry and I have told numerous telemarketers to put me on their do not call list, but that has hardly made a dent in the number of phone calls I recieve. Telemarketing firms need new rules, most of the time these people are difficult to deal with, apparently they do not understand the words, "I am not interested", or "NO". Wouldn't that fall under harrassment, in most situations, and we have to deal with this in our own homes. There also needs to be something done about "so-called" charities. I get numerous calls from those saying they are for the police or firefighters. When I actually called the sheriff's office and asked about a certain "charity", they informed me that less than 60% actually goes into a fund for them. So, I am assuming, the majority of these "charities" operate like this. Only charities who give 100% of the profits collected should be allowed to solicit over the phones! Thank you for listening, Mrs. Kimberly Gulley
