I do not approve of these changes to the telemarketing rules. I do not want to be harassed by pre-recorded phone messages by any company that I do business with. In my experience, they are way too long and many are obnoxious. What if there is an emergency and I need my line open? There are many of us who have family members who are ill and we need to keep our lines open for family calls. And if they call cell phones, the calls will eat up minutes that I have to pay for. I also do not want the time extended to a 30 day period. If I want something, I'll shop for it.
