To Whom It May Concern: Time will not allow me to make a long statement about the issues, but I want to go on record as opposing ANY relaxation whatsoever of the regulations governing the "Do Not Call" registry, including permitting callers to use prerecorded messages. I am sure you know how many consumers strongly resent these constant intrusions into our daily lives. They are inconvenient and extremely irritating. I cannot imagine any justification for encouraging or supporting telemarketers, especially from an agency that should be working on behalf of the consuming public. Telemarketers use MY equipment and MY time to harass me, and it's unacceptable. They are insatiable. They force me NOT to answer calls until my message machine picks up. Even NOT answering their calls disrupts whatever I am doing. If you take any action, I would hope it would be in the direction of much stiffer regulation, rather than relaxing standards. I appreciate this opportunity to comment on an issue that is extremely important to me. Leesa Mann
