Please DO NOT WEAKEN the Do not Call list. That list is a godsend to the vast majority of people who hate, and I do mean HATE telemarketing calls. I hate, loathe and despise the telemarketers and the telemarketing executives who claim that consumers actually like their calls. Not true. I can't express strongly enough what a relief it has been not to receive those hateful calls. They are interrupting my work, on my telephone, to get their hands on my money. Please, please, please do not weaken the rules. Let the FCC strengthen theirs, if the two agencies must match each other. We signed on to the Do not Call list for a reason. These calls are not simply annoying, but truly infuriating. This is a quality of life issue, which is negatively affected by telemarketers. We are entitled to be free of them. Why should the general public be made to suffer in order to satisfy greedy executives? It simply isn't fair. I pray you will stand firm.
