Comments:
The Do Not Call law has been very helpful in reducing the number of telemarketing calls that my wife and I receive. I consider unsolicited calls to be an interruption and a nuisance. So I have appeciated the reduction in calls that resulted after registering for the list. It is discouraging to hear that the FTC is considering taking this step backward, which will result in the resumption of calling. Automated calls would not be an improvement, in my opinion. The calls would still be annoying; a waste of our time; and a stretch of our patience. I would not appeciate anything that the FTC does to pander to the telemarketing companies or authorize the increase of these annoying calls.
