As a current member of the "Do Not Call" list, I am absolutely opposed to any amendment that allows telemarketers to call me at home. I have paid my fee for this service and expect it to operate as outlined at the time I paid for my participation. We receive enough phone calls from the companies we do or have done business with, charitable organizations and survey companies. Allowing further irritating and unwanted telephone calls serves no purpose - let the companies earn the business through superior products and services and more effective marketing campaigns - I get enough unwanted spam through e-mail, junk mail from the post office and salesman at my door. I don't need or want additional time with my family interrupted by something I have no interest in. I do not wish, nor will I accept any change to the current Telemarketing Sales Rule. If this rule is amended, I will disconnect my home phone service and use only our cellular phones for communication. Please protect our families and the precious little time we have to spend with them.
