As someone who is in direct marketing, and have done much telemarketing, I am AGAINST any rule that will allow any increase in telemarketing, automated messages, or any other method that results in a phone call to a person without permission. Despite what the industry testifies: 1 - Consumers do not like nor want automated or live unsolicited phone calls. 2 - They buy, when they do in extremely small numbers. The products pay for unwanted annoyance calls to most people. I do not know what is a typical response, but I doubt it is very high, and most often less than 5%. Thank you
