I strenously object to the proposed regulations to allow telemarketers to call us using pre-recorded messages. I consider it an egregious invasion of privacy as well as a complete waste of my time. Do not allow this scheme to take place. Do not allow this regulation to take effect. If it does, I will be contacting my Congress people- my representative and my Senator to object to it and to ask them to stop it. I was so glad when the DO NOT CALL register came into effect- no more calls at supper time, no more calls disturbing us after dinner, no more calls on the weekends- some peace, some privacy- finally. So why is the FTC, our watchdog, even contemplating these changes? Please do not allow it. Please allow us to have peace and privacy, free from the annoyance and hassle of pre-recorded calls. Thanks.
