Re: "proposed amendment of the Telemarketing Sales Rule to create an additional call abandonment safe harbor to allow telemarketing calls that deliver a prerecorded message to consumers with whom the seller on whose behalf the calls are made has an established business relationship" Not only should this amendment be reject, but also the practice by firms of using automated "exploratory" calls, ie, calls generated by computer or other automated dialing device that, when the consumer answers, provides nothing but dead air. These calls are used to determine if a consumer is home so that a live or prerecorded "follow up" call can be made. This practice is annoying and invasive. Thank you for your time Gavin Villapiano
