I am against this amendment. I have always believed that, even though I may have been a customer of the calling company in the past, that I would contact the company if I wanted to purchase something else from them. I would not necessarily consider myself a current customer for up to 18 months after a purchase from that company. I believe this amendment would create a loophole that would allow telemarketers to circumvent the current law.
