PLEASE DON'T ALLOW AUTOMATED CALLS. The beauty of the Do Not Call list is that my phone no longer rings with utter crap that is annoying and a waste of my time. I know how to find businesses that provide services I want and need. The only way to end the hassle of excessive, annoying phone calls is to let everything go to message (voicemail or answering machine) and then to go through that to find the real people, aka: friends and family. That is impractical, which is what spurred the Do Not Call list to begin in the first place. It is also inconsiderate to consumers because it makes real-time conversations difficult and people difficult to reach on the spur of the moment because pepole avoid their phones. That alone would cause me to downright reject a company trying to lure me with an automated phone call -- my privacy and life are more important than their perceived "convenience" of me having products shoved down my throat. The ringing phone is the problem, not whether the voice is human or computer generated. Please do not let this harassment begin again. It could bring serious consequences to the telecommunications industry if everybody converts to cell phones to avoid telemarketers -- nobody seems to have mentioned that. Sincerely, Heather Wendt
