Telemarketers should not be able to use recorded messages. We are on the no call list and we get recorded messages every day. Last Saturday, we had 12 recorded telemarketer calls. I'll give you a couple of reasons. It is cheaper than a live call so companies would increase the calls coming to our homes. I've heard that companies can do the same work with fewer workers and that is probably true but it is clear that their call volume will increase with the new regulations. You will see more and more people opt out of a home phone. There are so many options today (cellphones, Voice over IP, etc). If these regulations are loosened, I will disconnect my home phone the next day.
