Comments:
This comment is in opposition to the proposed rules' change. With the changes, citizens will be flooded with pre-recorded calls from machines that can make hundreds of calls every second. The overwhelming response in favor of the federal Do-Not-Call list is an indication of the general opposition that the public has to this type of mass marketing, which will be even more offensive that in-person, telemarketing calls. If anything, the rules ought to be made more restrictive, rather than loosened at the urging of the telemarketing corporations.
