Please do not proceed with any legislation or rulemaking that would enable telemarketers or other direct marketing entities to legally employ pre-recorded or electronic means to contact consumer residences or businesses that are registered on the national Do Not Call registry. The idea -- that two of our regulatory agencies that are in place to serve the citizens of the United States of America would actually enable such invasions of privacy in the face of expressed objection thereto -- is heinous and completely unacceptable. Again, please protect lawabiding, privacy-valuing citizens by DENYING THE AMENDMENT TO THE TELEMARKING SALES RULE THAT WILL CREATE A SAFE HARBOR TO ALLOW TELEMARKETING CALLS DELIVERED THROUGH PRE-RECORDED MESSAGE OR ELECTRONIC SELECTION. We will be watching your activity on this matter with great interest.
