Since my husband and I enrolled on the no call list we have finally been able to have peace each evening and not feel harassed or obligated to listen to telemarketing pitches from companies we have not initiated. To now allow companies to call with a prerecorded message will essentially create the same problem we had before, wondering if when we pick up the phone, if it is family or friends or some recording that we have to hang up on. If we don't answer the phone to avoid telemarketing, then we are not able to take advantage of the phone services we are paying for. I, like most consumers are already overwhelmed by commercials on TV, the radio, the Internet, billboards and a huge daily amount of junk mail. Please, can we have just one aspect of communication that consumers control rather than huge, uncaring corporations! I urge you to close this proposed loophole in the no call list legislation.
