I am stongly opposed to these amendments. This would open the door to phone mail spam and other unwanted recorded messages. I want no phone contact of any kind from anyone other than friends, relatives, or those that I have specifically asked to call me. Unwanted messages and solicitations are a huge waste of my time. Even though I am on the National "Do Not Call" list, I still receive unwanted sales calls and recorded messages. I know that if the rules are relaxed, it will only get worse. If I want to buy a product or if I want information from a company, all I have to do is call them. To say that I detest telemarketers and canned, pre-recorded messages is an understatement. Please, don't allow Voice Mail Broadcasting Corp. or their ilk to swamp the public with even more unwanted and unnecessary junk.
