I am very grateful for the Do Not Call list as it is now, so that I can have some peace in my own home. Before the inception of the Do Not Call list, MOST OF MY PHONE CALLS WERE FROM ADVERTISERS OR WERE ABANDONED CALLS--three to seven times per day. Please do not gut the rule for the benefit of advertisers. The only change to the Do Not Call list that I would find acceptable is to make it stricter: it would be fine with me not to receive calls from businesses with which I have a relationship, charities, and politicians.
