|Subject:||Trade Regulation Rule on Telemarketing Sales|
|Title:||Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, Request for Comment|
|CFR Citation:||16 CFR Part 310|
Comments:Why is the FTC allowing a proposal, to allow telemarketing companies to leave pre-recorded messages on the answering machines of persons that are registered on the federal 'do-not-call' list? Seems like a no brainer, if people have registered with a no-call list, what makes the FTC think otherwise. Here's a suggestion, if the FTC allows companies to leave recorded messages on cell numbers, have the cell companies pay the tab! See how fast they put a stop to that practice, eh? If this proposal proceeds, people will stop using cell phones!!! I say let the cell phone companies address the issue....
