I would like to see more strict rules/regulations to be placed on telemarketers, including non-profit organizations. I am currently on the do not call list and have received more calls from non profit orgs since being put on the do not call list, and they do not want to take no for an answer. Telemarketers have access to name, phone number, and address, when they call, and they are becoming increasingly persistent and even threatening individuals when the individual tries to quickly get off the line. Relaxing the rules/regulations for telemarketers will make everyone more scecptible to identity theft, etc. As a consumer, if we want a service we should call for it, not be pursued. If we have already requested to be put on the do not call list, we do not want to be called by telemarketers for ANY reason.
