I would like to strongly suggest that this proposed amendment be defeated. It is nothing but a cynical attempt by the very people whose insidious practices led to the need for a "Do Not Call List" in the first place, to undermine and indeed skirt the salutory effects of the law by using prerecorded messages. This law works wonderfully as it stands and needs no amendments. To make this annoying practice be exempt from the law, makes no sense. If I want to do further business with a company with whom I already have a relationship, I will contact them. I don't need a prerecorded message to remind me who they are. Please defeat this unnessary special interests amendment. By the way, this is the first time in 5 seperate efforts that i have been able to access this site to leave comments. Hopefully that is a sign that so many people have been commenting negatively on this proposed amendment. In any case, it appears that your site needs a much broader bandwidth to handle the traffic. Do not mess with the "Do Not Call List".
