Sir/Madam: I do NOT want the "Do not call list" modified in any way unless you change it so politicians and pollsters cannot call me. This whacko idea that if I bought something from someone they, and anyone they have a relationship with, are entitled to bother me at home is not at all what I want from a Do not call list. No calls is the expected action. Also, the idea that recorded announcements are somehow less intrusive just isn't true. If my phone rings and it is a telemarketing call, it is intrusive. Finally, I don't think the FTC has shown good faith in notifying the public about this unwanted change. I have not seen any newspaper articles nor have I seen it mentioned on the myriad of news sites I surf on a daily basis. It was my local NBC TV station issuing a consumer alert on 12/23/04 that brought it to my attention. I have to believe the relatively short comment period coupled with this being the holiday time of year means that the FTC is trying to ram this through with little or no public comment. Kind Regards,
