As an individual who signed up for the do-not-call list in order to avoid the headache of hundreds of telemarketing calls each year, I am opposed to any action which would increase the number of such calls I might receive. Permitting any company, even those with whom I do business, to place prerecorded or automatic calls to me in order to sell things will create an enormous headache. The cost of placing such automatic call is essentially zero, and the desire to place such calls will therefore be nearly infinite. I urge the FCC to prohibit automatic sales calls to those on the do not call list irrespective of existing relationships, and I urge the FCC to further prohibit nonautomatic mass sales calls to those on the do not call list. I urge large fines and long prison terms for executives who arrange for such calls as a means of assuring compliance. Thank you
