Since the current Do Not Call List rules were enacted, my family has finally received the privacy that we expect in our own home. Previously, every eveing was interupted at least three times by telemarketing calls. As a consumer I pay for the telephone in my home for my specific use and pleasure. I am already bombarded with sales pitches via the television and radio airwaves in addition to mass mailings and print advertising. If I am in need of a particular product or service, I know how to go about finding it for myself. I do not want anyone calling me with offers of any kind whether I have previously done business with them or not. I do not need nor do I want to be sold anything.
