Giving telemarketers any loop holes at all is clearly a bad idea. I guarantee that it will completely distort the entire reason for the do not call list in the first place. These telemarketers are very clever in finding ways to sneak around the current laws and I have them call me often claiming I have had a previous relationship with them or been a prior customer of them and it is nothing but pure lies. If you ammend the current laws the lies will begin to fly and every household in America will begin to get calls from telemarketers claiming that they have a relationship of some kind which gives the right to begin calling again. If you haven't figured it out yet, these are unscrupulous people that run these companies and lying comes naturally to them. Telemarketing is an infringement on the privacy of all citizens of this country and they do not have any inherent right to invade my privacy or that of others. Let them find honest work like the rest of us. They don't need a safe harbor they need another line of work. If you want to do some good in this country you should figure out a way to get all the E-mail spammers to stop and while you are at it the junk mailers too. If not for the delivery of junk mail the post office would be broke and out of business. Please do not return the people of this country to the days before the do not call list. What is needed is to make it illlegal to call and invade someones privacy with telemarketing and NO LOOPHOLES. Thank you . DAVE MUNSEY
