Please do not consider this amendment!!!!! Invasion of your home by telemarketers is bad enough--even worse is some recording. No matter what the opt out options are, how many are you going to have to put up with until it's over? Even one is an intrusion. One of the best things to happen in recent times is the Do Not Call program. It may sound trite, but it really has improved my quality of life. If anything, make the current program more restrictive. I would rather that no person or organization be allowed to make unsolicited calls-at any time for any reason. These calls are unwanted and uninvited. I still occasionally receive unwanted calls, and these people are playing "stupid" as to the scope of the law and whether or not your number is on the list. They are basically ignoring the law, maybe the fines should be even higher. I should not have to pay out of my pocket for "call blocking" services on my already too high phone bill. Using that type of service also could cause problems--people who may actually need to contact you could not. Please do not fall to the pressure of the telemarking groups. They have no right to invade my privacy and invade my home. Thank you.
