I highly resent ANY intrusion into my home through a telemarketing call. My home and family time is precious to me. If the FTC allows even a foothold such as the pre-recorded Spam blitzes you have been asked to consider, the telemarketers will surely use and abuse it as they do with the NO CALL list . It is impossible to regulate and the threat of fines is a joke and are rarely, if ever imposed. Their lobbyists work hard to remove or dilute language that would actually hold telemarketers accountable. I once asked a telemarketer for his home phone number. When he asked why I said I wanted to call him at home during his dinner hour so he might better understand my anger at the intrusion. He hung up immediately. Please listen to us - not them!.
