I am not in favor of allowing telemarketers the ability to leave pre-recorded messages on my answering machine, voicemail or email. Before the Do Not Call list went into effect, I would have as many as 20 telemarketing messages a day on my anwsering machine. It was very aggrevating because they filled up my answering machine memory and anyone who legitamently wanted to leave a message couldn't because of the telemarketing calls. I don't want to have to put up with that again. The fact that over 70 million people in this country signed up for the Do Not Call list should send the message that everyone is tired of having to deal with telemarketers who have no concern for the people they are calling.
