Please do NOT allow telemarketers to call people using pre-recorded messages. Do not weaken the Do Not Call law. Everyone hates telemarketers period. Pre-recorded messages are irritating time wasters that always have a pronounced pause that typically provides great aggravation. These calls haunt Americans at work, at home, and are the cause a great deal of irritation. Just maybe if you listen long enough you could get a number to call to complain or be removed from the list but this is not the norm. The fact is that in 98% - 99.9% of the time, these calls are not wanted. People DO NOT WANT telemarketers to call them at all, whether it's business to business or business to customer. Further, in terms of aggravation, these pre-recorded messages are 1200% worse than getting put in voice mail when you need to speak with a person. If you hang up, they call you again and again. If you ask to be taken off the list, they hang up ON YOU and call you again and again. I know, this happens to me with at least 70% of the telemarketing calls I receive. Telemarketers don't want to receive telemarketing calls but love to aggravate the rest of us. Please DON'T allow pre-recorded telemarketing. Please strengthen the DO NOT CALL list. Thank you.
