Prerecorded Message EBR, Telemarketing Project No. R411001 Your proposal to permit prerecorded calls is a primary example of a practice that should not be permitted. What is the benefit to the consumer? Why is it necessary? Why allow a practice that will clog phone lines? Should you decide in favor of this proposal I will ask our Congressional representatives to abolish your agency and have your function replaced by an agency that is more responsive to the consumer. Have you considered the impact of thousands of Americans calling your offices and using prerecorded messages with your staff on a daily basis? Or how about Congress? Do us all a favor and forget this stupid idea!
