As a consumer, my email box is full of SPAM, my mailbox is full of JUNK MAIL and my fax machine receives JUNK FAXES. I pay extra each month to have an unlisted phone number -- telemarketers get around that by using automated systems to "randomly" generate phone numbers. I joined the DO NOT CALL list and now telemarketers are trying to work their way around that. If this rule is adopted I should have the right to opt out. If I want a service from a company -- I'LL ASK!! I don't want to be called in the middle of dinner or my favorite TV show to listen to some random automated message from some company who CLAIMS I have a "relationship" because I bought a pack of gum!! I have a right not to be harassed by telemarketers! Telemarketers don't have the right to harass me!
