PLEASE, in considering the Telemarketing Sales Rule, remember that it is taxpayer dollars that are funding the FTC. I know of NO ONE who enjoys telemarketing calls and I cannot understand why this matter would even be under consideration. NO I do not want telemarking crap on my answering machine. Telephone service is something I pay for and therefore I feel it should be for my use alone. If the telemarketing companies want access to my phone line they should offer phone service that is free to me.
