I pay for my phone service and DO NOT WANT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CONTEND WITH UNSOLICITED CALLS FROM TELEMARKETERS. I have a right to my privacy and, unless these pests are willing to pay for my time, AND PHONE SERVICE, for me to have to listen to their jabbering just to get to messages I want to retrieve, I don't feel they have the right to infringe on my privacy. I pay extra to have my phone unlisted, privatized, caller id and everything else I can get to protect my privacy. THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO OVERRIDE THAT CHOICE FOR ME.
