Before the Do Not Call list, I was being harassed all day long at home by telemarketers, which is particularly annoying since I work out of my home. I certainly do not want businesses to have a work-around so they may pester me again--this would be worse because I cannot tell a pre-recorded message to take me off the calling list. I'm not receptive to phone solicitations even if I have bought goods and services from a particular company on a previous occasion (which is why I'm on the Do Not Call list to begin with). I'm sure that many unscrupulous companies would claim a business relationship with me--who is going to monitor that? I don't want phone spam just like I don't want spam in my email box.
