When I registered my numbers for the "Do Not Call" list, it is because I do not enjoy receiving calls from telemarketers. Before the DNC list, my family was constantly interrupted by a ringing telephone in the evening hours, endless telemarketing calls. After registering on the DNC list, my phone rarely rings from anyone other than friends or family. I love that freedom! But now it seems they (telemarketers) are looking for another way to harrass the people who do not wish to be contacted by them. I strongly suggest that this amendment not be approved.
