Please, please....do not allow telemarketers to deliver pre-recorded messages on our answering machines! It would be one more form of intrusion that is unacceptable. You have already found that 'live' calls from telemarketers are intrusive. From the receiver of the call point of view, the pre-recorded message is even worse. If I am not home, pre-recorded calls take up a significant amount of time/space on my answering machine - usurping space that would otherwise be used for business or personal messages that I would want to receive. It is difficult enough to attempt to avoid all of the garbage advertisements - whether in the news papers, magazines, TV or radio. At least those I can choose to or not choose to bring into my home. By allowing these telemarkets calls, my home would be invaded - without my permission! Please do not allow this further intrusion in to the privacy and quiet enjoyment of my home.
